<p>Here&#8217;s a cool way to ramp up make your visualizations more effective and help you manifest your goals and dreams.</p>
<p>The key to creating positive things in your life is all based on how you feel emotionally. You see, it&#8217;s your emotions that either allow, or repel the good that you desire.</p>
<p>Basically, as you improve your emotional state, what you attract into your life experience improves as well.</p>
<p>If you want to use this to your advantage, tap into a higher emotional state when you do your visualizations (you are visualizing right!?).</p>
<p>One great way to do this is when you first sit or lie down to visualize, think about something that brings you great joy or something or someone that you feel great love for. Hold onto that thought until you feel yourself being overwhelmed with the emotion of joy and/or love. Appreciation is another strong, positive emotion. So if you prefer, you can also think about something in your life that you are extremely grateful for.</p>
<p>Once you&#8217;ve locked onto that strong positive emotion, hold onto it and start visualizing what you would like to create in your life. The combination of a strong positive emotion coupled with images of what you desire to create will cause a strong attractive force within you that will help pull your visualizations into your life experience.</p>

<p>We all hit tough times every now and again and sometimes it might seem like there&#8217;s no hope of escape. This hopeless feeling puts you into an extremely negative vibration which is not only unpleasant to experience, but also causes the law of attraction to bring more unpleasant experiences into your life. Thankfully, there are several things you can do to help deal with these difficult times and even start lifting yourself out of them.</p>
<h4>Six Tips On How To Handle Tough Times</h4>
<p>Whether you&#8217;re struggling financially, emotionally, with  relationships, or with your health, these tips are sure to help.</p>
<p>Give them a try. The more you use them, the better your results will  be.</p>
<h5>1. Look For The Good In Your Life</h5>
<p>When things go wrong in your life, it&#8217;s easy to keep your thoughts focused on those problems. Focusing on your difficulties will tend to leave you feeling both drained and depressed.</p>
<p>No matter what is going wrong, I promise you that there is still a lot of beautiful and amazing things in your life. You just need to take some time to look for them. Are you currently enjoying good health, great relationships, a good financial situation, a great spiritual connection, a beautiful home, a loving family, great friends? Take some time to really appreciate any or all of these things if you are.</p>
<p>Another great place to look for things to appreciate is nature. Take some time to go out in nature and really focus your attention on the fresh air, the sunshine, the beauty of the plants and animals. This is one of my favorite things to do when negative thoughts start overwhelming me. Within minutes of going outside and really focusing on everything around me I start to feel truly grateful that I have the opportunity to live on this planet and experience the beauty of it with all of my senses.</p>
<p>Looking for things to appreciate will redirect your thoughts away from what&#8217;s wrong, and you will quickly notice yourself starting to feel better. As you begin to feel better your vibration will shift from a negative one to a positive one and you will begin to attract more positive experiences into your life.</p>
<h5>2. Focus On Solutions, Not Your Problems</h5>
<p>I mentioned earlier that it&#8217;s easy to get caught up in focusing on what&#8217;s wrong in your life. You can feel angry, depressed, victimized, or worse. You can talk to your friends and family about how horrible your life is, and they might even give you some pity or tell you how much their lives suck too. However, none of these things is going to help you move past your difficulties. In fact, all of these activities are just going to make you feel worse and putting all of your energy into the problem itself is just going to attract more problems into your life.</p>
<p>Instead of focusing on the problem itself, start looking for ways to solve it. Instead of asking &#8220;why me?&#8221;, start asking &#8220;How can I solve this?&#8221;.</p>
<p>As you begin focusing on solutions, several things will begin to happen:</p>
<ul>
<li>First, you will begin feeling better and more hopeful.</li>
<li>Second, your subconscious brain will begin to work on coming up with a solution for you.</li>
<li>Third, your point of attraction will shift and you will begin to attract solutions into your life instead of more problems.</li>
</ul>
<h5>3. Learn Your Lessons</h5>
<p>Problems and difficulties offer a wonderful opportunity to learn, grow, and become a better person.</p>
<ul>
<li>Health problems offer lessons on how we should be taking care of our bodies.</li>
<li>Financial difficulties can force us to find new and better ways to make money (or force you out of a job you hate, giving you the opportunity to pursue doing something you love doing instead).</li>
<li>Relationship difficulties offer you the opportunity to improve how you relate to and treat others. They also offer you the opportunity to better determine what qualities are important in the people you enter into relationships with.</li>
</ul>
<p>Whenever you encounter a problem or difficulty, look for the lesson in it and do your best to learn it well. When we learn the lessons that our problems are trying to teach us, we grow as an individual and put ourselves into a position to enjoy a better life experience as we go forward.</p>
<h5>4. Take Action</h5>
<p>We can learn a lot from basic physics &#8211; <em>nothing happens until something moves</em>.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s not often that your problems will just go away on their own. Start brainstorming and researching ways that you can solve your problem, then get your butt in gear and go do it. You might just succeed! On top of that, you will start feeling hopeful instead of hopeless!</p>
<h5>5. Keep Your Vibration Up</h5>
<p>Since the law of attraction brings you experiences based on how you&#8217;re feeling, if you&#8217;re feeling depressed, angry, sad, lonely, or hopeless, you are attracting more negative experiences into your life.</p>
<p>If you want to attract better life experiences, you must do whatever you can to make yourself feel better.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s a few ideas to get you started:</p>
<ul>
<li>Spend some fun time with a pet, friends, or loved ones.</li>
<li>Get out into nature</li>
<li>Visualize what you want instead of dwelling on the unpleasant stuff that you&#8217;ve got</li>
<li>Exercise vigorously. This will release endorphins that make you feel good.</li>
<li>Spend some time doing your favorite hobby.</li>
<li>Watch a funny movie, or read a funny book.</li>
</ul>
<h5>6. Ask for Help</h5>
<p>Don&#8217;t be shy about asking other people for help and advice. Most people like helping others and will be glad to help you in some way, shape, or form. Besides, even if they don&#8217;t help you, you really aren&#8217;t any worse of than before you asked. You&#8217;ve really got nothing to lose by asking. <img src='http://www.practical-self-help.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p>I recently came across a cool way to build up your money manifesting muscles on <a title="Intentional Tracers" href="http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2010/04/intentional-tracers/" target="_blank">Steve Pavlina&#8217;s website</a>. I thought it was a great idea so I&#8217;ve been trying it out over the last couple of weeks with great success. I wanted to share it with today so you can try it out yourself. It&#8217;s quite easy and fun to do.</p>
<p>The basic principle of the technique is that you slowly increase the amount of money that you are trying to manifest while at the same time keeping it fun and lighthearted.</p>
<p>I think the fun and lighthearted part is a key part of what makes this technique work so well. Often when we&#8217;re trying to manifest money, we&#8217;re doing it because we need it for something. This causes a lot of mental and emotional stress which blocks the whole manifesting process. By keeping it fun and light, you take the pressure and stress out of the equation and open yourself wide to let financial abundance start flowing to you.</p>
<p>If you want some extra evidence that the manifesting process works, you can add something to your intention. So if you&#8217;re working on manifesting one dollar, you could intend that you receive one dollar and an apple (or anything else you can think of). When that dollar shows up, look for the apple show up around the same time. The apple might be a physical apple, or it might just be an image of an apple that you see when the dollar shows up. Either way, it&#8217;s a nice way to confirm that what you receive is because of your intention and not just a coincidence. Plus, this type of confirmation can boost your confidence in the manifesting process and help you continue to manifest even bigger amounts in the future.</p>
<h4>What I Did&#8230;</h4>
<p>As I mentioned earlier. This technique requires that you slowly increase the amounts you are trying to manifest. So I started with pennies. I simply intended that I receive unexpected pennies. I thought about this periodically throughout the day and imagined having a pocket or jar full of pennies that unexpectedly showed up for me.</p>
<p>Within less than two days I was starting to find pennies while I was out walking <a title="7 Things My Dog Taught Me About Living Life" href="http://www.practical-self-help.com/2009/11/7-things-my-dog-taught-me-about-living-life/" target="_self">my dog</a>. I don&#8217;t even walk my dog where you would normally expect to find pennies. I usually stick to wooded paths or residential areas. I mean, really, how often do people drop pennies while walking in a residential area? In or around a store would make more sense when you actually have to handle your money.</p>
<p>Anyways, after a couple of days, I was confident in my ability to manifest pennies so I increased the amount to include loose change in general. Two days later I felt compelled to take my dog for a walk fairly late at night (I usually walk her mid-day). Anyways, while I was out on this walk, I found a quarter and several pennies just lying in the middle of the street near my house. Again, in an area where I usually wouldn&#8217;t expect to find lost change.</p>
<p>By this point I was feeling confident enough to increase the amount to a dollar. But this time I decided to include chocolate with it. So I put the intention out there to receive an unexpected dollar and chocolate. The very next day, a package shows up in the mail with a very expensive chocolate bar in it as a gift. I didn&#8217;t specifically receive the dollar, but this chocolate was free and worth well over a dollar so I chalked it up as a successful manifestation.</p>
<p>From there I moved on to five dollars and pizza. Less than two days later I find a pizza on sale in my local grocery store for exactly five dollars. This seemed like a sign, so I bought it. The day after my pizza purchase, I received just over five dollars from an online revenue stream that rarely generates more than a dollar or two a day. This was just way to weird to be a coincidence.</p>
<p>By this point I&#8217;m laughing to myself and looking forward to my next  manifestation. So now I&#8217;m working on receiving an unexpected ten dollars and I&#8217;m full of anticipation to see how this one shows as I&#8217;m sure it&#8217;ll make me laugh some more. This has turned into such an entertaining game for me that I plan to keep increasing the amounts as I go along. Sooner or later I&#8217;m sure that I&#8217;ll be manifesting a hundred thousand dollars just for fun. <img src='http://www.practical-self-help.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p><em>- update &#8211; May 2, 2010 &#8211; I&#8217;ve completed $10 and $20. I&#8217;m now working on $50  =)</em></p>
<h4>Give It a Try Yourself</h4>
<p>Give this process a try for yourself and start building your own money manifesting muscles.</p>
<p>To get started, just put the intention out there and think about it a few times a day. I suggest that you start small and try manifesting pennies. When you are regularly finding pennies, increase the amount to change in general. From there go to a dollar, then five dollars, ten, twenty, one hundred&#8230;</p>
<p>You only want to increase amounts when you&#8217;re confident about the amount you&#8217;re working on now. If jumping from five dollars to ten dollars seems like a stretch, then stick with five dollars for a while longer, or just increase it to six. You don&#8217;t want to have any pressure or doubts while you&#8217;re doing this. Keep it fun and easy, you&#8217;ll have much better results if you do.</p>
<p>If you want some extra evidence that the money you are receiving is a result of your intentions, include something odd with your intention like five dollars and pizza. The results of these types of intentions are sure to bring you some laughs and they&#8217;ll also increase your confidence in the process.</p>
<p>Finally, don&#8217;t impose any time limits on your manifestations. There are no limits to what the Universe is capable of, and it can bring you a penny just as easily as it can bring you a hundred thousand dollars. All to often it&#8217;s our own limiting beliefs that cause things to take extra time. If you believe it&#8217;s more difficult and takes longer to manifest fifty dollars compared to a penny, it will. That&#8217;s why it&#8217;s best to start small and slowly increase the amounts as you feel comfortable doing so. Build up your manifesting muscles (confidence) slowly. If you go to high to fast, you&#8217;ll have doubts which will block the whole process from working for you.</p>

<p>I was listening to an <a title="EFT Home Page" href="http://www.emofree.com/" target="_blank">EFT</a> teleseminar early today that shared a fantastic  way to raise your vibration and attract what you want. I found this  technique to be so awesome that I wanted to share it with you so you can  try it for yourself.</p>
<p>When you hold a high vibration, the law of attraction will bring more high vibration results into your life. Like attracts like, so if you&#8217;re feeling good, you&#8217;re also attracting more good things to you. Conversely, if you&#8217;re feeling any sort of negative emotions, it means that you&#8217;re focused on what you don&#8217;t want and that low vibration will cause you to attract more of what you don&#8217;t want into your life.</p>
<p>So if you want to attract good things into your life, it&#8217;s really important to use whatever tools and methods you can to keep your vibration high!</p>
<h4>The Method To Quickly Raise Your Vibration</h4>
<p>To do this method, you&#8217;ll need a notebook or some sort of online journal like <a title="Free online journal at diary.com" href="http://www.diary.com" target="_blank">Diary.com</a>.</p>
<p>Once you&#8217;ve got your writing medium ready to go, start thinking back on your day and try to remember any moments in your day that felt good. It doesn&#8217;t matter if those moments only lasted a few seconds, you&#8217;re just looking for anything that felt pleasant. Even on the worst of days, we all have a least a couple of golden nugget type moments that felt good. These are the moments you&#8217;re looking for. When you think of one, write it down.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re having trouble thinking of something, I&#8217;ll give you a couple of examples from my own notes that should help to inspire you:</p>
<ul>
<li>I woke up this morning to find our entire yard covered in snow and the sight was absolutely stunning. I really appreciated the beauty that winter can bring.</li>
<li>When I logged on to check the traffic statistics on one of my websites this morning, I saw that it was up over 10% compared to the previous week. It was really exciting to see that growth.</li>
<li>At one point I went to lie down beside <a title="7 Things My Dog Taught Me About Living Life" href="http://www.practical-self-help.com/2009/11/7-things-my-dog-taught-me-about-living-life/" target="_self">my dog</a> to do some reading. As I did, she stretched out contentedly and purred almost like a cat does. Her total relaxation and pleasure in the moment gave me a real sense peace and joy myself.</li>
<li>When I went to bed last night, my stomach was feeling a little off, and when I woke up this morning, I noticed that I was feeling much better and I felt very relieved and thankful for the healing that my body experienced as I slept.</li>
</ul>
<p>Once you&#8217;ve got your list, read through the first item on your list and take a minute or two to really sink into the memory of that moment. Relive it, try to feel exactly how you felt when you were experiencing that particular event. Once you start feeling those wonderful feelings again, send out an intention that you are experiencing more and more of those types of moments and feelings in your life.</p>
<p>Go through each item on your list in this manner, each time reliving that moment with as much detail and emotion as you can. As you do, send out an intention that you are experiencing more and more of those types of moments and experiences in your life.</p>
<p>If you know how to do <a title="EFT Home Page" href="http://www.emofree.com/" target="_blank">EFT</a>, you can tap each of the meridian points as you&#8217;re reliving the moment. The tapping will help you to solidify the memory and positive feelings into your subconscious mind.</p>
<h4>You Can Also Use It To Attract Specific Things Into Your Life</h4>
<p>You can also use this method to attract specific things into your life. To do this, you need to go back through your life and remember moments when you experienced the feeling state of what you&#8217;re looking to create.</p>
<ul>
<li>To create abundance in your life, scan through your memories and recall times when you felt truly abundant and use those moments as your point of focus and intention</li>
<li>To create health in your life, scan through your memories and recall times when you felt physically great. Use those moments as your point of focus and intention</li>
<li>To improve your business or career, scan through your memories for times when you had even just small moments of success and joy in your business or career and use those as your point of focus and intention.</li>
</ul>
<p>These are just a couple of examples to explain the process. Just go back through your memories and look for positive moments that you can relate to what you want to create more of in your life. Then, use the list process noted earlier to really get into the feeling of those moments and intend for more and more of them in your life.</p>
<h4>Conclusion</h4>
<p>Often as we try to work with the law of attraction we are trying to attract things that we want. In principle this makes sense, we want the things that we don&#8217;t already have. The problem is that when we try to attract something that we don&#8217;t already have, we are often focused on the lack of it. You might not even be aware that you&#8217;re thinking about the lack of it, but it is likely happening at a subconscious level.</p>
<p>What makes this method so effective is that you are focusing on things that already exist in your life. There is no lack, you already have them, so the sabotaging subconscious thoughts just won&#8217;t hold you back. And as you focus on these wonderful things that you already have, you will cause them to expand and attract more and more of them into your life.</p>

<p>The more you practice this method, the more habitual these positive feelings will become, and your life will just keep getting better and better. So take advantage of it and make it a daily habit to remember and focus on the golden nuggets of your day.</p>

<p>Most of us don&#8217;t think much about the foods we put into our bodies or how they affect our us and the environment. Not only that, we also rarely think about where our food comes from and how it got to be in that nice white shrink wrapped tray we see sitting on the grocery shelf.</p>
<p>Meat is an interesting one, it has a dramatic affect on your health, and the environment. Check out these 26 reasons not to eat meat&#8230;</p>
<ol>
<li><strong>Higher Body Weight</strong> &#8211; Meat eaters tend to consume more fat which often results in increased body fat levels.</li>
<li><strong>Higher Cholesterol</strong> &#8211; Meat eaters usually consume more bad fats which results in higher cholesterol levels.</li>
<li><strong>Higher Blood Pressure</strong> &#8211; The fats in meat tend to clog up your arteries which results in higher blood pressure.</li>
<li><strong>Higher Risk of Diabetes</strong> &#8211; Meat eaters tend to eat less legumes, whole grains, fruits and vegetables which all help to prevent and control diabetes.</li>
<li><strong>Higher Risk of Cancer</strong> &#8211; Meat eaters tend to eat less legumes, whole grains, fruits and  vegetables which all have powerful antioxidants that help to prevent cancer.</li>
<li><strong>Higher Toxicity Levels</strong> &#8211; Meats are usually treated with preservatives and other chemicals to help them look better stay fresher. These chemicals are toxic to the body and can lead to disease over time. The EPA also estimates that about 95 percent of pesticides in our diet come from eating meat, fish and dairy. Fish contain carcinogens (PCBs, DDT) and heavy metals (mercury, arsenic; lead, cadmium) that cannot be eliminated by cooking them. Meat and dairy products are also full of steroids and hormones.</li>
<li><strong>Digestion Problems</strong> &#8211; Meats are difficult to digest and eliminate. Over time this creates a toxic environment in the digestive tract which can eventually cause cancer.</li>
<li><strong>Shortened Life Span</strong> &#8211; According to many University and government studies, vegetarians tend to live about 7 years longer than meat eaters and vegans tend to live about 15 years longer than meat eaters.</li>
<li><strong>Higher Chance of Terminal Diseases</strong> &#8211; A British study that tracked 6,000 vegetarians and 5,000 meat eaters for 12 years found that meat eaters were 40 percent more likely to die from cancer and 20 percent more likely to die from other diseases.</li>

Experts attribute this to excess protein consumption from eating meats which can interfere with the absorption and retention of calcium.</li>
<li><strong>Meat Eaters Are Heavily Exposed To Food Born Illnesses</strong> &#8211; Eating meat can make you very sick. According to the Center for Science in the Public Interest, 25 percent of all chicken sold in the United States carries salmonella bacteria and the CDC estimates that 70 to 90 percent of chickens contain the bacteria campy-lobacter (some strains of which are antibiotic-resistant). Approximately 5 percent of cows carry the lethal strain of E. coli O157:H7 (which causes virulent diseases and death), and 30 percent of pigs slaughtered each year for food are infected with toxoplasmosis (caused by parasites).</li>

<li><strong>Meat Eating Women Have More Menopause Problems</strong> &#8211; Plant food sources contain a compound called phytoestrogens that helps to balance your hormones. Thanks to a meat-free diet, vegetarian women have much fewer problems related to menopause. They sleep better, have less hot flashes, have more energy, less weight gain, fewer mood swings, and maintain a higher sex drive.</li>
<li><strong>Meat Eaters Stress The Financial and Health Care System</strong> &#8211; Diets that are heavy in animal products cost the country over $60 billion dollars a year in health care costs related to heart disease, cancer, food poisoning, and obesity.</li>
<li><strong>Fish Eaters are Destroying The Ocean&#8217;s Fish Population</strong> &#8211; Fish are being over-harvested and according to the Food &amp; Agriculture Organization, 11 of the 15 world&#8217;s major fishing grounds are almost depleted.</li>

<p>Personally, I&#8217;ve been a vegetarian for well over 5 years now. I feel good about my dietary choice. I lost weight when I stopped eating meat, I rarely get sick anymore (I used to get at least 5 colds a year), I have more energy, and I feel good about having a much smaller environmental impact on the world I live in.</p>

<p>We&#8217;ve all seen somebody cover their ears and start singing &#8220;La-la-la-la-la, I&#8217;m not listening!&#8221;. If not, I hope you at least know what I&#8217;m talking about. At any rate, I&#8217;m here to tell you that this is a completely acceptable way to handle things when somebody tells you to give up pursuing your dreams.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;ve been pursuing your dreams, or even talking about it, you&#8217;ve probably also had the unpleasant experience of someone telling you to give up or not even bother trying. When someone tells you to give up, it can be tempting to take their advice. After all, giving up is easy and painless right? It might especially seem that way when things don&#8217;t seem to be working out for us.</p>
<p>The problem is that giving up on your goals and dreams isn&#8217;t painless. Sure, you could learn to be content with the way things are, but I can promise you that your dreams will continue to gnaw away at you for your entire life. You&#8217;ll never be completely happy, something will always feel like it&#8217;s missing or incomplete, until finally one day you&#8217;re on your deathbed, full of regret, and wondering what your life could have been had you not given up.</p>
<p>Okay, so maybe that&#8217;s a pretty bleak picture to paint, but in many ways it&#8217;s true. Close your eyes for a moment and get your imagination going. Fast forward your life and imagine you&#8217;re in your final years on this planet. Do you think you will be glad that you spent your life playing it safe and taking the easy route? Do you think you&#8217;ll be glad you stayed in career you hated instead of pursuing your dreams? Do you think you&#8217;ll be glad you decided to take the easy way out and watched television every night instead of taking some small daily actions to make your dream a reality?</p>
<p>Giving up on your goals and dreams is not painless, and it won&#8217;t make your life any easier or better in the long run. But if that&#8217;s true, why would people tell you to give up?</p>
<h4>The Two Types of Naysayers and How To Handle Them</h4>
<p>Why in the world would somebody tell you to give up on your goals and dreams? There are two main reasons why someone might give you this flawed piece of advice.</p>
<ol>
<li>They genuinely care about you and don&#8217;t want to see you suffer failure.</li>
<li>They aren&#8217;t currently pursuing their dreams, and the fact that you are is making them feel threatened by you.</li>
</ol>
<h5>1. The People Who Genuinely Care About You</h5>
<p>If someone that genuinely cares about you tells you to give up on your goals, it&#8217;s probably because they don&#8217;t want to see you end up being hurt or disappointed. They worry that things won&#8217;t work out for you, and it can be hard for loved ones to watch us go through difficult times.</p>
<p>The way to handle this type of situation is to gently thank these people for caring enough to try to protect you from suffering. But you also need to let them know that you will also suffer pain and regret if you don&#8217;t try to succeed, and that you would appreciate it if they could try to encourage and support you instead. If they really do care about you, they will respect your wishes.</p>
<h5>2. The People That Are Threatened By You</h5>
<p>The other type of person that will try to discourage you are the ones that feels threatened by your ambitions. They might feel threatened for a couple of reasons, and both of them are very selfish ones!</p>
<ol>
<li>When they see you going after their dreams, it reminds them of how they have given up and settled in life. This reminder can be painful. So instead of being inspired by you and following your example, they instead try to get you to give up so that they don&#8217;t have to suffer being reminded anymore. To deal with these types of people, feel entirely free to use the hand over your ears method and ignore them.</li>
<li>The second type of threatened person is worried that you&#8217;re going to leave them behind. They worry that as you move on, you&#8217;ll forget about them, or won&#8217;t have time for them anymore. To deal with situations like this, gently remind the person that they are being selfish and that if your relationship with them is truly important, you will both make time for each other no matter how much your life changes.</li>
</ol>
<h4>Conclusion</h4>
<p>Stay strong, don&#8217;t give up, stay true to yourself and your dreams. Listen to the wise advice of David Zucker&#8230;</p>
